Who we are
Growpath Capital Inc. ("Growpath Capital", "we", "us") is a funding broker based in British Columbia. We help businesses in Canada find offers from funding partners. We are not a lender, and we do not decide who is approved.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and while we work on your request, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to business owners, their staff and representatives, and referral partners who contact us. We handle personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
When you use our Get Started form we collect:
- Your contact details: first and last name, business name, email address, phone number, and the province or territory you are in (so we call at permitted hours).
- Your business answers: how long the business has traded, monthly sales, the funding you want, what it is for, and whether you already pay other advances.
- Your consent choices: which boxes you ticked, the version of the wording you saw, and the time. We also record the country and the page you submitted from.
When you use our contact form we collect:
- Your name, email address and message, and the topic you chose (a general question or a partner enquiry).
- If you choose to give them: your phone number, your organisation, and, for a partner enquiry, the kind of partner you are.
If you go ahead with an application, we collect what a funding partner needs to assess it. This usually means business bank statements, owner photo ID, a void cheque, your business number, how you will use the funds, and a list of advances you already pay. We also keep notes of our calls and emails with you.
Please do not put bank statements, ID or other documents in either form, and please do not email them to us. When documents are needed, we send you a secure upload link from us or from the funding partner.
Where it comes from
Most of what we hold comes from you. We may also receive information about your request from a funding partner (for example, whether it made an offer), from a referral partner who introduced you with your permission, and from public sources such as business registries.
Why we use it
- To respond to your request and walk you through your options.
- To contact you by phone, email or text about your request. This is the box you must tick to send the form.
- To share your details with funding partners we think suit your file, so they can assess your request, and only with your permission.
- To send you marketing email, only if you ticked the optional marketing email box.
- To send you marketing texts, only if you ticked the optional marketing text box.
- To see which ads and pages bring people to the site.
- To keep the site secure, stop spam and abuse, and investigate suspected fraud.
- To keep the records the law requires, and to show what you agreed to and when.
The two marketing boxes are not ticked for you, and you get the same response to your request whether or not you tick them.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you. A person at Growpath Capital reviews every request, and the funding partner makes its own decision.
Credit checks
This website does not run a credit check. A funding partner may ask for your consent to check your personal or business credit with a credit bureau as part of its own application. It does so under its own agreement and privacy policy, which it gives you before the check.
Who we share it with
- Funding partners. We choose the partners whose criteria fit your answers (such as the amount, time in business, sales and industry). We send them your request, your answers, any documents you upload, and that you came to them through us. We share your file only with your permission, and each partner uses it under its own privacy policy.
- A referral partner who introduced you, only to tell them whether your request went ahead, and only if you agree.
- Service providers that run parts of our business for us: website hosting, email delivery, our customer records system, and bot protection. They may use your information only to provide that service to us, and must protect it.
- Anyone the law requires us to tell, or where it is needed to prevent fraud or protect someone's safety.
- A buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged, under the same protections as this policy.
We do not sell your information.
Information stored in your browser
To understand which ad or page brought you to us, the site keeps campaign details in your browser:
- Campaign values from the page address (UTM values) and ad click ids.
- The page you landed on, and the site you came from (its name only).
Your first visit is kept in local storage for up to 90 days. Your latest visit is kept in session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. Both are sent to us only when you submit a form.
While you fill in the Get Started form, your multiple-choice answers are kept in session storage so a refresh does not lose them, along with a random reference that stops the same request being sent twice. Your name, email address and phone number are never stored in your browser.
You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Cookies and analytics
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and no third-party analytics or advertising tag runs on this site. If we add one, we will update this policy first, name the provider and what it collects, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Bot check and server logs
Our forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Cloudflare looks at information from your browser and device, such as your IP address, to do this, and handles it under its own privacy policy.
Like most websites, our server receives your IP address and browser details with each request. We use your IP address for a few minutes to limit how often a form can be sent, and our hosting logs keep it for a short time to keep the site secure. We do not use it to identify you.
Where it is kept
We and our service providers may store and process your information in Canada, the United States and other countries where they operate. While it is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that country, and the authorities there may be able to access it. We choose providers that protect it to a standard comparable to ours. You can ask us about our service providers outside Canada.
How long we keep it
- If you do not go ahead, we keep your request for up to two years after we last hear from you, so we can help if you come back.
- If you take funding through us, we keep your file for seven years after it closes, to meet tax and record-keeping rules.
- We keep a record of your consent and of any withdrawal for as long as we hold your information, and for two years after, so we can show we respected your choices.
After that, we delete your information or make it anonymous. We may keep it longer if the law requires it or a dispute needs it.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards for the sensitivity of the information: encrypted connections, access limited to the people who need it, strong passwords and multi-factor sign-in on our systems, and secure upload links instead of email for documents.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach of your information creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires, and keep a record of every breach.
Keeping it accurate
We rely on you to give us accurate and complete information. Tell us if something changes, and we will update your file and, where it matters, the funding partners we sent it to.
Your choices and rights
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts.
- Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Ask to see what we hold about you, how we used it and who we shared it with.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
- Withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw consent to share your file with funding partners, we cannot keep working on your request. We will tell you what withdrawing means before we act on it.
Email info@growpathcapital.com to make a request. We may ask you to confirm who you are first. We reply within 30 days, and tell you if we need more time and why. Access requests are free.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This site and our services are for businesses and the adults who run them. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority in their province.
Other websites
Links to other sites, including funding partners' sites, are covered by those sites' own privacy policies, not this one.

Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.
